Dr Esther Ramsay-Jones

Palliative Psychotherapist

Esther Ramsay-Jones is a practising palliative psychotherapist and organisational therapist, working psychodynamically with people living with life-limiting conditions and their families.

She also teaches counselling and lectures on Death, Dying and Bereavement with the Open University.

Her book, Holding Time: Human Need and Relationships in Dementia Care is an ethnographic exploration of the care home context drawing from her PhD research.

More recently The Silly Thing: Shaping the Story of Life and Death is the account of her own experience of grief, following the death of her mother from brain cancer, tied in also to her work in palliative care.

She is also a mum.
